A MIND FOREVER VOYAGING THROUGH STRANGE SEAS OF THOUGHT, ALONE

This is my second blog.

My first blog chronicled my experiences over three years caring for my dad as he lived through and finally died from Alzheimer's. That is the book that is for sale.

This second blog kind of chronicles of life, what it is like to start your life over in your late 50's. After caretaking, you are damaged, file bankruptcy, and the world doesn't care what you did. After 8 months of unemployment, you wake each day knowing the world doesn't want you. Finally you do find a job, 5 weeks before homelessness, but doing what you did 30 years ago and getting paid what you did 30 years ago. So this is starting over.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

BLAME NIXON

This is a blog I may post tonite but want to add to over the week as I flush out the idea, and the idea is China.

Nixon opened up China to build an ally against Russia in the 1970's.  Let's see how that has worked out for the good ol' USA.

First, in theory, it was a good move.  I mean if you are China and wanted more land, eastern Russia, which looks like western Russia to me because it's west of me, but eastern Russia would be fairly easy pickin's for China just to flood across with a 100 million soldiers and what could Russia do?  It's not like China wants all the land, just the land next to theirs.

But, somewhere along the lines, we've managed to piss off the Chinese to the point they see a better future in teaming with Russia against us.

And what have we done to piss them off?  Danged if I know.  First, we sent them millions of jobs to provide employment and affluence to millions of chinese.  Damn us!  Then we showed them how to build plants of all type of industry, closing all of our plants, so we can't make chips, computer or potato, here anymore - or washers, driers, TV's, Stereos, computers, clothing, furniture: you name it, we moved it to China, trained their workers how to build it.

And, not being too slow, they also stole all that knowledge to build knockoffs and now make all sorts of things that violate patent rights of thousands of US companies.  Got a great idea, get a patent, and before you can say mushu pork, they are building it in China and you don't get a cent.  A couple of years ago it was discovered there were a couple of Apple Stores in China that were not really Apple Stores and not really Apple products but nobody could tell the knockoffs were so realistic.

Yippee!

And thanks to millions to the Clinton's, we gave them access to a whole crapload of defense secrets and allowed their military to make a 30 year jump in technology in about 5 years.

Of course, this isn't all bad if you are in the elite, because you've made millions of dollars and are looking at billions more selling to the Chinese market.

Here is the thing, if you can make a speaker in America for 500 bucks, sell it for 750 and move the plant to China and make it for 100 bucks and sell it for 750; you don't care if China makes a knock off as long as they also are selling it for 750 because everybody is rolling in the dough.

And China, in the meantime, has brought in trillions of US dollars to their shores that use to be spent in this country and with our money buys our debt, so they used our money to buy our debt and we owe them now 2x each dollar, plus interest.  And they have plenty left over to build cities no one lives in, build high tech subs with our stolen technology and our dollars, build missiles to reach the US.

Think of this for a moment, close your eyes, wait, that won't work, you're reading this, okay, just imagine how different the USA would look today if all those jobs, factories, etc that went to China never left our shores.  Apple, Intel, Dell, AMD, Westinghouse, and all those other companies in clothing, hardware, etc etc etc were still in the USA: what would the unemployment rate be?

Yes, stuff would cost twice as much but we'd all be earning two or three times as much; heck even phone support pays less today than it did in the 1980's.

But the middle class would be huge, the upper middle class would be huge, unemployment would be below 4% which is about the best you can do.

We gutted our country for cheap toys, we'd rather save a buck than save a job.  No worries until your job was next in line.

So Nixon's goal failed, we are the odd country out.  And in the process, because of greedy politicians, greedy corporate board rooms, greedy stockholders, and a greedy population, we've sold off everything that made this country great; our innovation, our manufacturing, our job base, our middle class.

Not much else to say.

We watched the tragedy unfold
We did as we were told
We bought and sold
It was the greatest show on earth
But then it was over
We ohhed and aahed
We drove our racing cars
We ate our last few jars of caviar
And somewhere out there in the stars
A keen-eyed look-out
Spied a flickering light
Our last hurrah
Our last hurrah
And when they found our shadows
Grouped around the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the explanation left
This species has amused itself to death
No tears to cry, no feelings left
This species has amused itself to death

FOLLOWING THE RULES

There is a great line from the TV show Serenity, well, actually, there are a lot of great lines in that show, but the one I'm referring to is when the Captain tells the Companion, "you think that by following the rules, you can build a good life, but it makes you a slave".

That line always haunts me.  It haunts me at work, it haunts me at church, it haunts me at life.  Where do we draw the line between being independent, bucking the system, and going along with the system; sell a little of ourselves just to get along.

Recently at work they had a contest about how many overtime hours you could work and had all these great prizes in a raffle you could enter - but I didn't.  I don't know how I stacked up to others but I chose to work overtime because the company needed it and I needed the money.  The contest smelled of manipulation, of following rules, of being a slave of some sort.

I guess I'm still thinking along the lines I was thinking of the other night, about filing tax returns which makes me guilty of something, I'm not sure what, but it's like just take my damn money out of my check and leave me alone, I don't want to participate.  And when does a man say no to the good life for what is right?

Gawd I  sometimes wish I didn't think so much.  I sometimes envy the drones of the world who go thru life oblivious, or am I oblivious?  Do I see more to life than is really there?

Paper in Africa this week accused the US of manufacturing and releasing the Ebola virus as a test and I thought it is about time someone figured that out.

Dave Hodges, whom I really don't listen to or read, but somehow keep quoting him when I do, hear or read him, did some seriously good research and discovered the corporations and agencies that actually have patents on diseases like Ebola, yep, there is a patent on several different variations of the virus.  So anyone working on a cure or vaccine needs to pay these organizations to work on it and then they make money selling the cure, which is where the irony comes in that many companies/organizations that own the disease also own the patents on the cures.

We own the problem and we own the cure, not a good recipe for the world.

Now many of my long term readers know how I absolutely am appalled at how the western world treats the African continent as some sort of personal laboratory, and it should not surprise me one bit that we released that virus in Africa.  I will never again buy a MS product because Bill Gates is the figurehead of his organization that is running all sorts of neat tests on people in Africa and set to reap billions on cures for diseases we are intentionally giving them.

I will never forget the 4 out of 10 success rate he bragged about for an AIDS cream for women.  I read it failed 60% of the time and don't even get me started on the 'control group' that got the placebo.  No wonder we suffered for decades with 'the blue screen of death' with that thinking.

So here we are using Africa as live lab rats to test the spread of a corporate owned virus, then testing vaccines owned by the same corporations, so when it's released in America millions will flock to the doctor or centers for the 'cure' for the virus.

Ain't capitalism great?

The problem isn't really capitalism, it's that somewhere over the last 40 years we've lost that moral center, wait, that is not accurate either, there has always been a vacuum of morality in the world.  But as a people, we've lost the center.  We have been brainwashed to tolerate to the point we would never stand up to slavery, we would never stand up to Jim Crow laws today if they still existed.  We ignore the plight of Africans at the mercy of the corporations using them for lab rats.  Tell me imaginary readers, what is the difference between sending ships to Africa to capture black skinned sub humans and ship them to Europe or the Americas to be slaves and traveling to Africa and using black skinned sub humans as lab rats?

Nothing.  I am sorry, did that thought interrupt the start of the second half of the football game?

The world views Africans exactly as I described and if you got upset with that I am sorry, that is what is happening and no one is going to stand up and stay stop today.  Cause that is over there, never happen here.

Right.  How many men and women died of radiation from tests we did in the 50's?  How about the little syph experiment we ran on blacks in the south, the the gassing of St. Louis in the 60's?  Or those absolutely weird chem trails people see all over the country these days.  Hey, I'm not a nut, okay, I know most times a jet goes by it leaves a trail across the sky and then the trail disappears, these things don't disappear, they spread open and stay.  That is not a typical jet trail.

Truth is we are viewed as fodder for many and always have lived in a world where elite view others as fodder.  And if you think these pharmaceutical experiments we run in Africa are limited to Africa you are living in a fantasy.  We are daily manipulated by news, by food, and probably other things we have no idea about.  We are lab rats to the elite.

One day, the people who do these things will face judgment by the one Holy God.  And so will all those who went along to get along and have a comfortable life.

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me.

Leave the men where they lay
They'll never see another day
Lost my soul, lost my dream
You can't take the sky from me.

I feel the black reaching out
I hear its song without a doubt
I still hear and I still see
That you can't take the sky from me.

Lost my love, lost my land
Lost the last place I could stand
There's no place I can be
Since I've found Serenity

And you can't take the sky from me.

HATE CRIMES AND SINGLE MEN

Well, me thinks I'm about to commit a hate crime with the blog.

See, some guy in Oklahoma cut off the head of a woman and was trying to kill another when someone with a concealed weapon shot him and stopped him, fortunately for him, our esteemed Attorney General is stepping down ahead of the Fast and Furious release so he's so busy covering his butt right now he won't have time to prosecute the guy for shooting a muslim for practicing his religion.

Didn't know he was a muslim?  Most don't because main stream propaganda sources aren't mentioning it.  Drudge, on the other hand, laid it out pretty good.

Guy was just fired for getting into arguments at work, seems he supported abortion, well, sort of, he was for stoning women who violated Sharia Laws, which is like abortion.  And he reacted by killing and sawing off the head of a woman with his knife, though I don't hear any calls for banning knives.

Fortunately, this was not a hate crime.  Simple workplace violence, pay no attention.  And no gun was used, pay no attention here.  So a muslims kills and beheads a woman and that is not a hate crime but mentioning he is muslim is a hate crime.  Got it?

I mean, isn't america all about religious freedom?  And aren't muslims around the word freely practicing their religions by beheading thousands and thousands of Christians?  Aren't we denying them their religious practices by arresting them for practicing religious freedom?

Don't laugh, the relativists are scratching their heads right now, never appreciating they still have heads to scratch.  Go ahead, my imaginary readers, ask a relativist if muslims believe in beheading a person who does not worship allah, should you let them take your head or should you deny them their religious freedom?

Oh when oh when will people wake up?  When Sharia law takes over your neighborhood, it's too late. When your daughters have to wear head coverings to attend public school, it's too late to say, "What?"

When history is written, what will they say in the future about the bending over of the american people to Islam?  Will it be compared to the German Lutheran Church and Hitler?  Will we go along with it as long as it doesn't interrupt football?  Or Dancing With the Survivors of TV Chefs Who Can't Sing?  Did you know much of the meat you buy in stores now complies with the Islamic rules for food?  Well, except ham.  Then again, there are stories in the news from time to time of stores or restaurants that no longer have pork products so as to not offend the Islamic customers.  I think I will start eating a ham and swiss sandwich every Friday at sundown.

It is the subtle drip drip drip.  The slow step by step death of a nation.  One cigarette at a time, the cancer slowly develops, until it's too late.

And few see it, some write about it, but nothing gets done.  We supply Islamic radicals with weapons to slaughter, we open our borders so they can come here and slaughter.  Did you know the guy who is running ISIS was in our prison on Cuba, the base I can never spell?  Obama released him.  In fact there are about a dozen terrorists we'd had locked up that are now roaming free running groups right now attacking non muslims.

It's crystal clear our president is not on our side.  Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him, you want him out, you deal with him.  Don't blame me or anyone else who knew he was a schmuck from Day One and don't expect us to help, we are too busy preparing for the coming war with Islam.

I have nothing better to do.

Where do single men in their 50's go?  Pretty much nowhere.  I suppose if I was interested in getting married it would be different, but I'm not.  We just don't fit anywhere; okay, I suppose there are many sitting at a bar right now, flirting with women bartenders or waitresses who laugh at the jokes hoping for a better tip.  And I'm sure some are cruising for hookers, paying a woman to spend some time with them, getting their rocks off, and then coming home to what?  Running and hiding from themselves, from the pain inside.

I embrace that pain and don't run from it or hide from it or try to cover it up, unless blog writing is my way of doing it, hmmm.

Married friends don't know what to do with us, churches don't know what to do with us.  Fortunately, I don't get lonely.  I enjoy the solitude - one hundred years ago I would have been a hermit or mountain man or something; 500 years ago a monk.

I think I'd like to be a monk actually.  Too bad I'm not Catholic, don't want to convert just so I can be a monk either, though I might change my mind on that someday if I can keep my british mysteries collection of DVD's and my Taurus.

The gun, not the car.

So I wait.  Prepare and wait.  Waiting for whatever God wants me to do next.  Amusing myself with blogs that just seem to lack depth of late, listening to tunes, walking the dog, and working.  Lots of working lately, lots of overtime the last three weeks.  Two more to go and then I'm taking a week vacation; think I'll paint, hike, and quit drinking Pepsi.  Little goals, little challenges.  I mean my main goal right now is to survive to the Xmas holidays when I will get paid 2 1/2 times my hourly rate and can afford to pay an attorney to file bankruptcy.  Talk about goals, Anthony Robbins would be proud.

What ever happened to Anthony Robbins?  You can't even make fun of him anymore, nobody remembers him.

Maybe I'll get lucky and piss off the muslims, that would make life interesting again.

Miles from nowhere
I guess I'll take my time
Oh yeah, to reach there

Look up at the mountain
I have to climb
Oh yeah, to reach there

Lord, my body
Has been a good friend
But I won't need it
When I reach the end

Miles from nowhere
Guess I'll take my time
Oh yeah, to reach there
Oh yeah

I creep through the valleys
And I grope through the woods
'Cause I know when I find it my honey
It's gonna make me feel good, yes

I love everything
So don't it make you feel sad
'Cause I'll drink to you, my baby
I'll think to that, I'll think to that

Miles from nowhere
Not a soul in sight
Oh yeah, but it's alright

I have my freedom
I can make my own rules
Oh yeah, the ones that I choose

Lord, my body
Has been a good friend
But I won't need it
When I reach the end

I love everything
So don't it make you feel sad
'Cause I'll drink to you, my baby
I'll think to that, yes, I'll think to that

Think to that, oh yeah

Miles from nowhere
Guess I'll take my time
Oh yeah, to reach there

BOLA, BULLETS, SHAMPOO AND BULL

Totally spaced out at the grocery store today.  Needed to buy some soap and shampoo and I spent nearly 45 minutes in the aisle. Soap was about 15 seconds, Ivory bars.  The rest of the time I just spaced in the shampoo sections.  Hundreds of shampoos, ranging from 89 cents to 48 bucks.  Studying them. Old Spice had 7 shampoos with cool names like Swagger, Bulk Up, Sport Jock; yet a read of ingredients and it was hard to find any differences.  Was this some example of the wonder of capitalism or the waste of capitalism?  Glad I finally snapped out of it or I might still be there.  I hate when that happens to me.

One of the mystery's of life: why is it a dollar for a kiss and only a penny for a thought?  Are our thoughts really 1/100 the value of a kiss?  A good kiss 100x more than a good thought?  Okay, maybe a bad kiss for a bad thought, and speaking of bad thoughts.......

President Numb Nuts is going to 'get serious' on the outbreak of Ebola in Africa, thank heavens we can all sleep soundly now knowing the man who has added more debt to our economy than all previous presidents combined, the man who totally ruined our health care system, the man who has reigned over the the largest decreased in employable americans, the man who has opened the floodgates on our southern border allowing hundreds of thousands of people to come into this country - flying them around the country to secret locations - and bringing in with them diseases that are now affecting Americans all over the place, terrorists, and who knows what weapons of mass destruction: but Lord Numb Nuts is now going to put a stop to this Ebola thing.

He's going to send the Marines in to shoot it.

This is why he is president and I am not.  I would have done things like, oh, blocked any travel to the countries where the disease is breaking out, checked anyone coming into this country and placing them in quarantine for 30 days, you know, stupid pedestrian things like that.  But our president shows why millions of people voted for him - he's going to send in the soldiers to shoot it.

Or is this our excuse to invade Africa now?  Or is his plan to send troops over to contract Ebola and then bring them back to the states to infect the military as a whole, weakening and wiping out our military so there will be no forces available to defend the country?

When is the military leadership of this country going to step up and do what needs to be done?  Sorry, my imaginary readers, the majority of the people of this country are lost, face it.  I love the stories of the men and women who came before us and fought and died so I could grow up in an America that I did, but we have lost it and allowed it to be screwed to the pooch so bad only a major reboot is going to be able to fix it now.  And I would rather do it now than when I'm 70 something and not able to defend what little I would have left.

But then, it's God' plan, not mine.

I know this is leftovers from caretaking, my Froedoism, the acceptance of fate or inevitabilities that we deny, we like the idea we control our destiny but we do and don't.  We make daily choices of what to do, what to eat, workout or lay on the couch, stuff like that, but it's all an illusion in some respects; because something or someone else is barreling down on us, totally unaware by us, that will impact our lives and turn them into a total chaotic mess and then we are left to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild some sort of feeling of control in our life.

Where did it all go so wrong.  I sit here and ponder the fact I have taxes taken out of each check and those tax dollars and being sent to buy weapons for terrorist groups in the middle east who are chopping the heads off families because they are Christian and I'm suppose to step into church tomorrow and what?  Ask for forgiveness?

I haven't filed a tax return in four years, but then I didn't make any income in those four years.  Okay, last year I made a whopping 98 bucks in commissions on books sales but I'm not going to spend 100 bucks to buy some tax software to tell the government I didn't make any money.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do next spring.  Do I file and participate in this atrocity or simply refuse to participate any more?  Am I willing to go to prison for this?  I don't know.  And some days I seriously don't care either way.  It's not that I'm not paying taxes, I am, I'm just going to refuse to participate in filing.  First of all, the tax system is screwed up the moment you sign that form, you are setting yourself up for being nailed because any IRS agent can twist or interpret the law in any form they want if they want to come after you.  Something to ponder and make a decision on I guess; do I fall in line and face a pissed off God on judgement day or do I take a stand and get beaten down only to still find a pissed off God on judgement day.

Guess I should have stayed in the shampoo section longer.

I ain't no golden boy,
I ain't no Grecian dancer,
And I ain't no loudmouthed cowboy
from the West,
I'm not the kind of man
with all the answers,
But I surely know the songs
that suit me best.
But lately I've had something on my mind,
It's growing stronger all the time,
Calling out when I'm alone,
But I'm a poet
And I'm bound to walk the line,
Between the real and the sublime,
And give the muses back their own.

SORRY, BORING SPORTS BLOG TODAY

Well, I can't say what AP, the best running back in football, did to his kid was right, it sounds like he went way overboard with the whipping of the kid, but I also remember my grandmother making ME pick the switch from the tree that got me smacked across the butt once.

And only once, one simple whip.  Not multiple whips across the back, butt, legs, and testicles.

I grew up in the days when principals had paddles which I must admit I personally experienced often.  And, of course, my parents used the belt on the bottom, got that more than the principal paddle.  The paddles were wood, with holes in them so air friction wouldn't slow down the board before smacking your butt.  And I told the story before of the gym coach who smacked the entire gym class in the butt with the plastic hockey stick without missing a beat.

Point of all this is; generations after generation of children grew up and became normally functioning adults in spite of getting spanked, switched, and spanked with a belt.  But responsible parents don't belt, switch or paddle a kid a dozen times, that's not disciplined, that is sadistic.

Why do we, as a people, idolize athletes?  Most are pampered jerks, passed thru classes without doing the work, getting into college, and now paid millions to play games.  And we flock to the stadiums, buy their jerseys, and when they release a shoe with their name on them people stand around the block and pay hundreds for them so they can 'be like Mike' and others will kill them for those shoes.

What a country.

I remember back in the 90's one mom buying her young son a pair of Jordan sneakers and the she told me when the kid opened the box he got this horrified look on his face and told her he can't wear these shoes to school because the kids will beat him up and take them.

But on to another topic of sports.

Growing up a White Sox fan, I've learned the plan of the White Sox; one great team every decade and 9 years of tearing it down and rebuilding.  They almost won the AL back in 1967, had it in the palm of their hand, but managed to lose the last five games of the season two the two worst teams in baseball.

They only needed two to tie and three to win.

Then they could of won in 1972, the year of Dick Allen, but lost Bill Melton, the years previous homerun champion, for half a season and fell just behind the A's.  In 1983 they were the best team in baseball by far, but decided not to bring their bats to the playoffs.

Then came 1994 and they had it all; three great starters at their peak, Thomas and others tearing up the baseball, and then the spoiled brats went on strike.

And I, and millions of others, didn't watch baseball or go to a game the next season. Or the next.

Then something strange happened. Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire chased that hallow 61 homer record and millions who stopped watching baseball started watching baseball again.  And America fell in love with baseball again.  We all knew they were roiding and we didn't care, it was fun to watch, we love the homers, the exploding scoreboards, the excitement of chasing the records.  We love the ball players who smack 40, 50, or 60 homeruns.  The guy with 200 hits, eh, not so much.  Same with pitchers, most love the Nolan Ryans or Roger Clemens, so few appreciated the brilliance of a Greg Maddox, a Tommy John, a Catfish Hunter.

McGuire and Sosa, in effect saved baseball.  And today they are blackballed for doing what we knew they were doing and only after it was over we suddenly got some sort of religion against the steroids and now want to ban from the Hall of Fame those players we formerly cheered and who brought people back to the game.

The only thing Americans love more than a hero is to tear down a hero.

I was against these guys getting into the Hall, but now it's dawned on my how unfair it is, it's like the - oh I'm going to get into trouble for this - it's like the really hot but stupid babe you spend a weekend with and then dump.

Bonds, not so sure about, that guy became Frankenstein, but then if you let the rest in, you lose the argument to keep him out.  So it's time to face up to the fact that Sosa, McGuire, Bonds, Clemens, Palmero, and ARod deserve their spots in the Hall.  We fed them, we cheered them on, and it's just wrong to now dump them in the gutter and pretend we didn't contribute to the times.

Just like the dumb blonde we feel guilty about years later.

Floating through this darkness
All alone
Love is gone in darkness
Cold as a stone
Searching through the shadows you have known
Love's gone
Bare as a bone.

Trying to hold the memory face
You seem to have vanished without a trace
And in this darkness
This empty space
I float alone.

Now the night is falling
You have gone
Sad dreams blow through dark trees
Love's gone wrong
Clouds of sadness raining all night long
Love's gone
The end of our song.

I float alone

MORE THAN A FEELING

Anyone else bothered by this virus breaking out in the US, moving east to west?  Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado.  Also now seeing out break in NC, Georgia, and TN.

Not wind blown, almost looks like someone is driving across or I70 releasing something into the air.  Watch and see if Utah, Nevada, and California don't shortly join the list.

And, it apparently is only hitting kids, not adults.  Now tell me that is not designed in a lab.  A virus that only affects kids?

So what is going on, is this a test?  Think about a terrorist attack, cars or trucks driving across the country on interstates, invisible, and along the way releasing a virus.  And imagine the horror of only hitting the children, a virus that kills only children, taking the heart and soul out of America, our children.  Two or three tanker trucks, 3 or 4 major east to west highways and you cover almost every state in a week, less if they have two drivers in the cab.

Wow.

Who the hell would spend their time designing a virus to kill kids?  Lawyers and politicians?  Okay, that I could understand, but kids?  I mean, truth be told, I don't like kids, but kill them? Well, maybe spanking, but certainly not killing them.  But, then again, we abort a million of them a year, so maybe it should not be a surprise.

I also had the thought that maybe God would remove the young and innocent before a tribulation breaks out in this country for us to get the bill for turning our backs on God, remove the kids so they don't go through it, but nah, well, maybe.  I don't pretend to be God and certain don't think like God does so, well, whatever.

If this were moving, west to east, it could just be in the wind, if it were summer, you could figure vacations, but now all these kids are in school, which spreads it to large number of kids in one day.

Hmm, I wonder where Obama is dumping all those kids that came over the border?  Wouldn't that be a hoot, Obama opens the border and some deadly disease outbreak occurs, we could rename him Captain Trips.

Very strange thing happening here folks.  Also wonder about all those stories about Sept 11th and all the OTM's coming across the border.  Hate to live in Austin, Phoenix, SD or LA right now.  Let's face it, if the bad guys do sneak across the border with something big, they aren't going to drive a nuke across the country, they will hit the nearest place that has maximum power and I could see those cities being the target.

Think back to the day after 9/11, 2001.  Would you have bet a dollar that there wasn't another attack on the way?  Within 5 years?  Ten?  And now we have a dozen commercial aircraft that were taken by Islamic terrorists in Libya two weeks ago that are pretty much unaccounted for, did you catch that story?  Get them out of Libya, fly them to South America or Cuba, and you have a launching pad to the US.

Yea, I know, get a life.  Just a very strange moving virus, only kids, very strange.

Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass
For your lorry loads, pumping petrol gas
And you make them long, and you make them tough
But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off

Oh, I know we've come a long way
We're changing day to day
But tell me, where do the children play?

Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air
But will you keep on building higher till there's no more room up there
Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry?
Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die?

I know we've come a long way
We're changing day to day
But tell me, where do the children play?

I like Matthew.  Matthew is an interesting book when you think about the history of the book.  First Matthew was a census taker, which meant he had to know shorthand, which is why there are more parables and discourses in his book than any of the others.

Mark, he wasn't an Apostle, he followed around Peter and wrote what Peter said.  Luke was a doctor who wrote two really great books, Luke and Acts, but he was a researcher type.  John was an Apostle and I really like his book too, but for different reasons.

But Matthew was there and took notes.  Gotta love that.  I know many a theologian like to say Matthew didn't write it, that it was copied from Mark, but then really, think about it for a moment.  Now I will grant you that sometimes the disciples were sent out in pairs and so Matthew might not have been around when X or Y happened and he might have asked when he got back but why would he 'copy' from Mark?

Matthew was writing his book to the Jewish people.  Now some of those overeducated theologians who needed to make something up for their papers so they could get their PhD like to say that Matthew was written decades after the death and resurrection of Jesus, but then why not include things like the death of James or the whole end of Jerusalem.

Nope, pretty sure Matthew was written early on from the notes Matthew took constantly.  In fact, they found several pieces of script that have been dated to no later than 60AD that are from Matthew.  So I'm inclined to say Matthew was probably written in the 30's or 40's AD, I mean, if you hung out with God, would you wait 20 years to write about it?

The real question in my mind are these.  Was it written in Hebrew or Greek?  I've read several books that lay out a heck of a case for Hebrew.  There are Hebrew 'puns' in the book that would not be there if translated back to Hebrew from Greek or Aramaic.  However, the Greek argument has merit also.

Saddle up my imaginary readers and let's go for a ride.

Ever hear of Ivan Panin?  I hadn't either.  Panin is some russian math wizard that graduated from Harvard with a PhD in math back in the 1800's, when a PhD meant something.  Then he accepted Jesus as his savior and the Holy Spirit opened his mind to use his math skill

Panin found, first in Psalms and then later in the Greek NT mathematical patterns that would defy any logical mind from concluding there had to be a higher source involved in the writing.

So let's try an experiment with my imaginary readers since according to stats few real readers are still around.  Spend a few minutes and start writing out the genealogy of your family tree.  Start with yourself, then your mom and dad and then keep going back with which ever you know better, the mom or dad side.

I'll wait.....

Okay, now let's look at Matthew, except we have to look at the Greek text which none of us can probably read, so we will have to go with Panin, who was educated at a time when people learned multiple languages quite extensively in college and didn't waste time in classes like Beyond Survival and the Social Meanings of Buffy.  Yes, there really were college courses on Buffy.

Here is what is in that genealogy in Matthew 1.

the number of words is divisible by 7 with no remainder
the number of letters is divisible by 7 with no remainder
the number of vowels is divisible by 7 with no remainder
and yes, the number of consonants is divisible by 7 with no remainder
the number of words that begin with a vowel is divisible by 7 with no remainder
the number of nouns is divisible by 7 with no remainder
number of males names? is divisible by 7 with no remainder

What Panin discovered was there were 75 different variables in that chapter that are all divisible by 7 with no remainder.  Which the odds of that occurring randomly are 7^75 power.

Seriously, try that at home.  Just do the number of words, vowels and consonants.  But I'm not going to wait.

Normally, I restrict much of my reading on theology to the first and second century; people who were there with Jesus, the students of the people there with Jesus, and the students of the students of the people who were there with Jesus, after that things get a little screwed up.  But I'm finding some excellent theology work from the 1800's, Panin and Sir Robert Anderson's work The Coming Prince, where he shows that conversation between Gabriel and Daniel and how you can pinpoint the start date and arrive at the Sabbath in 32AD before Passover as the day the Messiah will ride into Jerusalem on the horse as being the exact predicted date.

And most of the Hebrew people missed it when it was right in front of them.  I wonder what American Christians are missing.

Heard a podcast last night and there are now over 100 million Christians in China.  That may exceed the number of Christians in this country now.  Think about 100 million people willing to accept Christ as their savior in a country where it can send you to prison or death.  And we don't want to talk about it because we might 'offend' or be laughed at by our peers.

Kind of makes you wonder which side God will be on when the war between China and the US begins; the country that rejected him or the country where people accept him under the threat of death.  Which of course made me think of escape routes again, up into the mountains.  Recently went to a web site for splunkers and discovered that the uber guberment here have been closing off caves all over the place, sealing them so they can't be entered.  Wonder why, certainly not a job creation plan, must be another reason.  Either to keep us out from hiding in them or are they wanting to keep something in?  I always ask that question when someone builds a wall; is it to keep other in or others out.  In life, it usually works out to both in the end, something we should think about before we build a giant wall between us and mexico.

Came from passion and you gave it a name
The fingers of poison like needles in the drivin' rain
So smile discreetly as you watch with such grace
Now I must slip away but can you forget my face

Out of reach, out of touch
How you've learned to hate so much
Out of reach, out of touch
How you've learned to hate so much

LOOK IN THE MIRROR

Okay, I'll say it.  If you take nude pictures of yourself, you are choosing to have those nude pictures shared with the world.

I want to talk to the women.

Oh, come on, this is not the first time this has happened, it's happened for years.  It was happening back in the late 1980's, long before 'cloud' computing.   If you allow that love of your life to take pictures of you in the bedroom, they will end up on the internet when you break up.  If you take pics of yourself on a cell phone or digital camera, they will end up on the internet.  High school girls have committed suicide after they sent someone a picture and it ended up all over school.

So face the facts, if you take a nuddie, you will be seen by the whole world.  Funny thing is, if you are a 'nobody', one of life's peons, you may never know it.  However, if you are famous, you can bet the farm that those pics will be released.

So why do the young actresses, only two of whom I even recognized their names, okay three, I had to look up Kim Kardasien several years ago to find out who the hell she was when you couldn't go a day without hearing her name - still not really sure - I think she is just someone famous because her dad is famous, like Paris Hilton - but the point is we've had these events in the past, we had another this weekend, and it will happen again because, well, people are stupid.

Now I do have sympathy for the woman who discovered there were fake photos, that is just wrong, if that is true.  I mean, after all, you hack all these real pictures, why release fake photos?  Or people who snap pictures of others in the locker rooms at health clubs, there should be a rule about no phones in locker rooms.

But it's the number one story everywhere, because, well, we are stupid.  See, some Hollywood celebs, who took those photos of themselves, are really pissed with front page publicity?  I mean really?  And millions of men have nothing better to do that look and find the photos, and no, I have not looked and will not look.

Meanwhile, Islam is spreading; ISIS is killing at a rate that is making Hitler take notice in Hell.  Chopping off heads, mass shootings.  Christians are being slaughtered in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and everywhere else.  Want to know how to make a christian in Africa, the Middle East or Asia laugh?  Tell them about the pretrib rapture.

I love that joke, made it up myself.  Got some dirty looks at church though.

Volcanoes are erupting, earthquakes, drought wiping out the agriculture in California.  Did you see that due to all the moisture in the rest of the farm belt, that the genetically modified wheat is going to produce some poison, so they are spraying another poison to counteract the first poison so it can be brought to market in your bread starting this winter?

Note to self, load up on organic crackers this fall.  Six month supply.

I'm also suspicious of the timing of all this.  I mean, do all those chicks all have only iPhones?  Cause if just one of them don't, then the whole blame game falls apart.  And besides being stupid to take nuddies of themselves, I'll bet they use the same email address and password more than one place.

Remember last spring when iPhones were being 'kidnapped' and a ransom was being asked for?  Know how that happened?  Another very famous company was hacked and they got email and passwords.  Then they used those emails and passwords and got into the apple accounts and other business accounts because people were using the same email address and same email passwords on multiple sites.

Betcha that happened this time too, there will be a common denominator of email and passwords and stupid people taking nuddies of themselves and then blaming others for their pictures being released.

It doesn't help that idiots write columns saying the real problem here is the double standard of women being 'ashamed' because of double standards in sexuality.  Please.  I will admit, there is a difference between men and women when it comes to their bodies.  The prettiest hottest woman will be getting ready for a shower and look at herself in the mirror and pick out the smallest minor flaws.  Guys, we look in the mirror, suck in our guts and think if we'd just do situps and pushups for a month, we'd be seriously hot again.

But I don't think many guys would appreciate having our nude pictures out on the internet, probably almost as much as others would be unappreciative of our pictures being on the internet.

But somehow, things were hacked, things will alway be hacked.  Your phones connected to the net, your pads connected to the net, your computers connected to the net means that someone out there will try to hack you, especially if you are famous.

Which brings us back to who is ultimately responsible for this - the people who take pictures of themselves naked.  It's on you.  Sorry to break the news.

Don't dream of answers cause you know I've none to give
We move like dancers steppin on each other to live
And pouncin hard
Like animals in the yard
And there's no healin, lookin, feelin
There's no denyin that bein kind can hurt
Someone sometimes
Oh, there's no denyin, woah lord there's no denyin
That bein' kind can hurt someone sometimes
