This is my second blog.

My first blog chronicled my experiences over three years caring for my dad as he lived through and finally died from Alzheimer's. That is the book that is for sale.

This second blog kind of chronicles of life, what it is like to start your life over in your late 50's. After caretaking, you are damaged, file bankruptcy, and the world doesn't care what you did. After 8 months of unemployment, you wake each day knowing the world doesn't want you. Finally you do find a job, 5 weeks before homelessness, but doing what you did 30 years ago and getting paid what you did 30 years ago. So this is starting over.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

News story catching fire today about by 2020 the technology will exist to plant chips in our brains.  Scientists are so excited about the possibility of downloading entire books into our memory and all those things that sound so cool.  I suggest we start with putting the chips in the brains of all the people working on this project and downloading some Greek philosophy, Aquinas, and Pascal into their brains and then maybe some of them might start understanding the Law of Unintended Consequences.

Vonnegut wrote a great short story in his book Welcome to the Monkey House about a future where chips were implanted in brains.  It was a society of equality.  So if you were a smart thinking person, the chip would periodically hit you with a painful shock to prevent you from thinking about something too deeply because so many are incapable of deep thought.  Athletes wore weighted devices to they were not faster than others and musicians that were real good had strings removed or keys removed from their instrument so they couldn't play better than everyone else.  Total equality.

Not being an master of science fiction genre, I am sure others wrote about brain implanted chips before Vonnegut in 1960.  What I will bet is no science fiction writer ever viewed the chips implanted as being a good thing for the individual.

The joy of reading a story, is the unfolding of the story in your mind.  The laughter, fear, haunting, and joy that one experiences.  How can you just dump all that into the head and call it good?

Do you understand why some of us who embraced the computer age in the 80's and 90's are now running from it as fast as we can?  When you do the simplest task, like buy bananas, or vote in the election, you are making the choice based on your thoughts or feelings, no matter how wrong they are, they are yours.  Once a chip is in your brain, how do you know if you are buying bananas because you like bananas or because the government health system wants you to buy bananas instead of ice cream?  Or you are voting for Obama's 12th term in office because you think he has done a really good job combining the United States with Islam?  Sharia Law rocks, you think.  Or did you?

We already have people claiming there exists the technology to hit you with energy that affects your thinking; we already have weapons that will heat your body/brain and cause you to fall to the ground, literally microwaved.  I've babbled on and on about those evil devices for your car that allows corporations and government to track you everywhere you drive while they track your phone and everything you say, write, text, tweet, or surf.

Now they are moving to the day to plant a chip in your brain and then they will have complete control over your thoughts, your life, your lifespan.  Kill the chip, kill the person.  That should take care of the troubles of old age, just kill everyone between the ages of 68 and 72.  Paralyzed?  Stroke?  Alzheimer's?  Parkinson?  No problem - zap.

I was listening to Hag&Hag last night with Stan Deyo and after Stan left the show they started to have an interesting conversation between the dad and son about outhouses, dial phones, and party lines.  Joe, the son, never heard of a party line.  But the whole thing got me thinking about the 50 year olds today and those in the past.

When I was growing up, lets use the 1960's and 1970's, there were lots of 50 year old men and women in the neighborhoods.  And while there were worries, especially the Cuban Missile Crisis, where the 'adults' were seriously worried about the future, most of the people were happy.  Most 50 year old people today are not happy.  We are worried, we are scared.  Why?

The adults of my childhood grew up in a time when the majority of the nation lived in rural America.  Outhouses and water pumps.  Got up every morning at 4 to milk cows and such before breakfast and going off to school.  Even those who lived in the towns were still rural kids.  Those that lived in cities had dads working mostly at manual labor in the factories, the steel mills, the railroads, the stockyards, the oil fields.  They grew up during a depression, spent their youth fighting in Europe or the Pacific, then came home and got jobs, hit the middle class, had homes, jobs, a car.  Life was good, the future looked bright because the past had been so hard.

Today, the adults grew up in the 50's 60's, and 70's.  Except for those who grew up black in the south or were drafted into Vietnam as young adults, most of us had a great, easy life in our youth.  We enjoyed freedoms my young imaginary readers cannot imagine: we could ride our bikes for miles away from home, by ourselves, without a helmet.  We could hunt snakes, play ball all day long with no adults, and were so excited when we got that first color TV.  We also thought the future looked bright.

But, today we see the future we've arrived at and it is not bright.  The technology that was so cool that really helped us get work done in the 1980's is now this monster that wants to think for us.  Our jobs don't exist, they've all gone overseas.  Corporations no longer provide life long employment, a gold watch, and a great pension; now they toss your ass out the door in your early 50's like throwing people off a ship in the middle of a violent ocean.  We don't trust our government, maybe they shouldn't have trusted it back then, but they did.  And the government seemed to understand basic accounting back then, not so much now.

What scares us is the realization that our parents grew up hard and then had it easy.  We had it easy and now in our later years, life is about to get very very hard.  And we wonder when it went so wrong.  Where did we screw it up?  Can we reboot to 1980 and try again?

My youthful imaginary readers, you won't have such problems.  The chips in your brain that you will probably stand in line for with your debit card held out eagerly will make sure you will enjoy whatever slavery awaits you in your future.  Do you get the iBrain or become the Google Android?

The Borg were evil, vampires were evil, zombies were evil.  When did we go off the track?

I should laugh, but I cry
Because your love has passed me by
You took me by surprise
You didn't realize but I was waiting

Time goes slowly, but carries on
And now the best years have come and gone
You took me by surprise
I didn't realize that you were laughing

Laughing, 'cause you're doin' it to me
Laughing, it ain't the way it should be
You took away everything I had
You put the hurt on me

Guess Who

In the course of human events, there are times when the people of the United States must stand united against tyranny.  For those reasons, listed below, this petition is for the recall of President Obama from The Office of President of the United States of America.

Technically, the law does not exist for recall of a president.  The goal of this petition is to have a volume of signatures to encourage the House of Representatives to bring impeachment charges against the President and encourage the Senate to take up the hearing.

Malfeasance or misconduct while in office must be identified to justify impeachment or recall.  To this extent, I provide the following evidence in support of recall/impeachment of the President of the United States.

1.  Obama's Health Care Plan - Americans were promised by the president that if they like their current plan, they can keep it.  Americans were promised by the president that if they like their doctor, they can keep their doctor.  Not only are both these statements outright falsehoods, evidence this past week show the president knew that millions would lose their health insurance and millions would lose their doctors.   The president was under contractual obligations with the American people when he made these promises and by knowingly misleading the American public on these issues are grounds for malfeasance and misconduct.

2.  Spying - the United States Government is out of control spying on it's citizens, our neighbors, other countries, and the executives of said countries.  While the petition recognizes the importance of 'spying on enemies of the state' that does not give the government the authority to spy on heads of state of our allies, citizens of the United States with no criminal records, or citizens of other countries with no criminal intent against the United States of America.  The blanket monitoring of every phone call, email, text, letter, and conversation by the government is an infringement of the rights of every American and thus is grounds for recall/impeachment under the definition of malfeasance and misconduct.

3.  Irresponsible Spending - The United States Government is irresponsibly spending the tax dollars of US citizens, failing to collect taxes from corporations that make large contributions to said government, and criminally increasing the debt on the US citizen with allowing the Federal Reserve to print money continuously.  At the current rate of spending, when President Obama would leave office in 2016, our national debt will be over 24 trillion dollars, a 15 trillion dollar increase over when he took office in 2008.  Where was this money spent?  The war in Iraq was winding down, the war in Afghanistan is winding down.  While the area damaged by Hurricane Sandy still leaves tens of thousand homeless, the president freely gives billions of dollars to radical Islamic governments in the middle east, takes 100 million dollar vacations, and gives weapons and financial aid to terrorist groups in Syria who are torturing and slaughtering ancient Christian towns and people.  While tens of millions of Americans have lost their jobs and cannot find new work, job creation is non existent, the corporations that run their income through Ireland to avoid US taxes and make large contributions to the current administration, the democratic party, and the republican party; are lobbying the recipients of their cash to allow amnesty for illegal aliens and increase immigration to bring in more cheap labor while nearly 100 million americans are either unemployed or underemployed.

Beginning with these three examples of malfeasance and misconduct, we the citizens of the United States demand a recall election of the President of the United States.  Should the Courts deem a recall election of a President unconstitutional, we demand the Congress undertake Impeachment Proceedings immediately.

Well, all I have to say to the French, the Spanish, the Germans, and others is we don't like all the spying either.  Let's face it, most of your people were as fooled by Barry as most of the Americans that voted in 2008.  2012?  Well, that one a good argument can be made was an election that was so corrupt it should of had a redo on paper.  OH, PA, and several other states had such statistical abnormalities that anyone with high school stats could figure out something really strange was going on.

The point is, people of Europe, you were more in love with Barry than most Americans were.  We thought, 'yea, it would be cool to have a black dude as president and then we could put this whole race thing behind us once and for all' but alas, we are more racially divided now than we were in 2008.  Apparently, if you are white and voted for Obama because he is black, that is not racist.  However, if you ever disagree with anything Obama says because he is a bloody idiot who doesn't have a clue what he is doing, that means you are a racist.

Europe, however, you all were thinking that Barry would stop all wars and were so confident that you gave him a Peace Prize before he'd taken his first dump in the White House bathroom.  You thought he was going to unite the world so we'd all get along and everyone would live happily ever after.  At least some of us in America knew Barry was a fake, a fraud, and was selling snake oil.

So now all of Europe has their panties all wadded up their butts to find out the Obama and the US government has been tapping all the phone and email of everyone around the world.  Look, I understand the average Joe or Jane being pissed.  We are too.  See, whether you live in Russia, England, Sweden, France, Spain, S. Africa, Brazil, Belize, Mexico, Canada, the US, or any other country; we are all the same.  We have the same dreams, the same desires, we just want to have a roof over our heads, a job that pays us a fair wage, food on the table, friends, family, and die after a peaceful life - surrounded by people who love us and will remember us after we are gone.  Basic wishes and desires of everyone.  But unfortunately we don't run the world, megalomaniacs who want power and control run the world and rely on us being wussies to retain their power and control.  One person standing up to the government is crushed, one hundred million standing up to the government is a revolution, which is then run by new megalomaniacs who simply crush a whole different set of the population.

That is why Iceland fascinates me.  The average Joe's and Jane's rose up in Iceland, threw out the entire government, rewrote the laws, told the world banks to take the Icelandic debt and stick it up their ass, and not a bullet fired.  I wonder when they are going to pay the piper for this behavior?  But my admiration for the people of Iceland is high.

You loved Barry more than we did.  And now you find he is spying on your president, spying on you.  He wasn't the brilliant person you expected, but like most megalomaniacs is a weak little man who loves nothing more than feeling powerful and important by flying drones over weddings or traffic and bombing away to kill one person he decided today should die.  If a dozen other innocent people nearby die, so what?  Just more average Janes and Joes of history no one will remember.

What most don't realize is the megalomaniac is all about power and control but often is unable to kick the cat without getting hurt, so he/she requires an army of young fools who follow orders blindly and are easily brainwashed.  Let's face it, thousands of Germans were brainwashed that killing Jews was a good thing to do.  Thousands of Russians were responsible for the killing of over 100 million fellow Russians, the Chinese rulers had their army of killers of over 100 million fellow Chinese.  How and why does an average Joe allow himself to think that it is okay to line other average Joe's up and shoot them dead just because they live on the wrong side of the tracks, the wrong school, the wrong church, or the wrong heritage?

What drives such a person?  Is it simply fear if I don't follow orders they will kill me or if I don't line up all these people in the village that have peacefully lived here for thousands of years, they might kill me tomorrow so I should kill them first?  Or is what really scares me true; we, even we average Joe's, love to kill.  Once we start, we won't stop.  An act of self defense, in the right environment, will grow into a killer who can line up women and children and shoot them in the back of the head and not bat an eyelid.

Will you die for God?  Or will you kill for Barry?  Barry is generic here, a megalomaniac who thirsts for power and more power and one day realizes he must kill the enemy, anyone who has an ounce of courage to stand up for a conviction.  Our military and police forces in the US are being cleansed of people who stand up to what is coming and leaving young, brainwashed people to carry out the cleansing that is coming.  I suspect that is happening in Europe and other countries too.

Who will you choose, your soul or your self?  I often wondered when hundreds of millions watched Lord of the Rings how many envisioned themselves being an org or goblin because most will; the choice of your soul or your life and most will pick their life.

The game is afoot.  The leaders of this world have been using the muslims for decades to create the terror that allowed the laws to be passed to make the rest of the free world as enslaved as most in history have been.  Soon, the need for the muslims will come to an end and they will be crushed.  The leading megalomaniacs have not been secretive about all of this, it's all written down, including reducing the earths population from about 7 billion to less than a billion.  That is a lot of average Joes' and Janes' going to die and I'm sure the plan is for a game to be setup so we kill off each other in the name of Country or Religion.

We are the anonymous of history.  The snowflakes that become the water drops then flow down the rivers and out into the oceans of time.  Few knew us when we lived and no one but God will remember us when we are gone.  Name a Railroad Baron from the 19th century?  Now name a single chinaman that actually built that railroad.  We are those chinamen.  We like to pretend we are not, but we are.  Whether you work for an auto company, Wal Mart, Krogers, or some other corporation, you are nothing much more than a chinaman was for the Union Pacific.  You are paid as little as possible, worked as hard as they can legally make you work, and when you are not needed you are tossed aside while the leaders in the board room light their cigars and toast the B&B.

Cheer up Europe, you are as screwed as we are in America.  When Atlantis fell into the sea, the world survived.  When the US fails, we will take everyone with us.  The retirement accounts you spent a lifetime saving, gone.  Your savings, gone.  Your homes, gone.  Your job, gone.   From the hostel owner in Switzerland to the shepherd in Scotland, to the miner in Africa, to the autoworker in Germany, to the banker in Hong Kong to the hockey player in Canada, to the prostitute in Brazil, to the rancher in Chile, to the drug kingpin in Mexico: you will all go down when the US goes down.  When the dollar fails, so will your currency.  When we fall into the sea, we won't be around to protect you from invasion, we won't be buying your oil, your cars, your computer chips, your cheese, your wine.  Every Jane and Joe in the world will be in a world of hurt.  Because you, like us, fall for people like Barry.  Children, not men. Managers, not leaders.  People who are driven from some psychological need formed when they were children to control, to punish.

God or your country?  Your soul or your body?  Start thinking about the choice; time is coming when you will have to decide.

`cause you were bred for humanity
and sold to society
one day you'll wake up
in the present day
a million generations removed from expectations of being who you really want to be.

skating away, skating away,
skating away on the thin ice of the new day.

So as you push off from the shore,
won't you turn your head once more
and make your peace with everyone?
for those who choose to stay,
will live just one more day
to do the things they should have done.
and as you cross the wilderness,
spinning in your emptiness:
you feel you have to pray.
looking for a sign that the universal mind has written you into the passion play.

skating away, skating away,
skating away on the thin ice of the new day.

Most people always preface an "I told you so" with "I really hate to say this, but".  Not me.  I told you so.

For any of my long term imaginary readers or if you are one of the 19 people who bought my book, you might remember my several blogs about how much the Progressive Insurance chick seriously creeps me out.  One of those blogs ranted about how stupid people were to put this little box in your car to try to save a buck and how they were just getting you trained and soon other insurance companies would start doing it and eventually the federal government will come along and insist on the black boxes  to monitor when, where, and how far you drive and start taxing you for your mileage.

In today's LA Times:

WASHINGTON — As America's road planners struggle to find the cash to mend a crumbling highway system, many are beginning to see a solution in a little black box that fits neatly by the dashboard of your car.

The devices, which track every mile a motorist drives and transmit that information to bureaucrats, are at the center of a controversial attempt in Washington and state planning offices to overhaul the outdated system for funding America's major roads.
The usually dull arena of highway planning has suddenly spawned intense debate and colorful alliances. Libertarians have joined environmental groups in lobbying to allow government to use the little boxes to keep track of the miles you drive, and possibly where you drive them — then use the information to draw up a tax bill.

The tea party is aghast. The American Civil Liberties Union is deeply concerned, too, raising a variety of privacy issues.
And while Congress can't agree on whether to proceed, several states are not waiting. They are exploring how, over the next decade, they can move to a system in which drivers pay per mile of road they roll over. Thousands of motorists have already taken the black boxes, some of which have GPS monitoring, for a test drive.
"This really is a must for our nation. It is not a matter of something we might choose to do," said Hasan Ikhrata, executive director of the Southern California Assn. of Governments, which is planning for the state to start tracking miles driven by every California motorist by 2025. "There is going to be a change in how we pay these taxes. The technology is there to do it."

There you go.  Told you so.  How would you like a surprise tax bill every quarter from the state telling them you owe them 200 bucks for your driving?  Or 300, or 100, then 400.  Stop and think about it, how are you really going to know if the government is accurately recording you mileage?  We would have to document our mileage every day of our lives to have evidence to prevent the government from padding the numbers by how you vote or something.

Here is what is really funny.  The problem is they are not pulling in as much in gasoline taxes as they use to because cars are getting such better mileage.  And why?  Because the same government forced car makers to build cars that get better mileage so now the government is making less money because of their decision and so they want to add an additional tax revenue stream.  Do you know some of us actually remember pulling up to the pump and only putting 2 or 3 bucks in the tank?  And we ain't that old!

I'm sure there is also a goal for more mass transit to reduce cars on roads so only the elite will be driving on the roads.  And I'll bet my bank account, or ten bucks, whichever is greater, that congressional members and all federal government employees will be exempt.

So what if I don't put a box in my car?  What if I drive an old car and refuse?  What if you don't pay?

They monitor our phones, they monitor our internet access, they monitor our email, they monitor what you watch on TV, they monitor what you say in your home while watching TV, they monitor everywhere you go in stores or at work with you security card.  They monitor our lives and now they want to monitor you while you drive.  Why not tax bicycle riders?  Joggers?  How about putting little black boxes on our dogs or baby carriages so they can tax us for those walks too?

Of course, if everyone quit driving and took mass transit, then they will have to tax us for walking from the station to work in order to make up for all the lost tax revenue from no one driving.

I have an idea, let's tax texts at 1/10 a cent per letter typed and sent.

Oh, sure, the article says they will drop the gasoline taxes if they go to this system, but are we really that stupid to think they have any intention to drop gasoline taxes?

But, I'm a fair guy.  I will go along with all these taxes as long as they pass one more.  Anytime an elected official is found to vote for a bill that contradicts a campaign promise, his or her salary is taxed an additional 10% fine for lying.

Which means Obama owes the country 2.3 million dollars.

I told you these black boxes Flo was pushing were evil.  But did you listen?

I wonder if those changes
Have left a scar on you
Like all the burning hoops of fire
That you and I passed through

You're a bluebird on a telegraph line
I hope you're happy now
Well if the wind of change comes down your way girl
You'll make it back somehow

Lots of news stories this past week about Chase and other banks placing limits on cash transactions, limiting withdraws, and restrictions on overseas transfers.  Most story lines focused on the fear of people transferring their money out of the country as they make their getaway to Sweden, Switzerland, or Belize.

By the way, any of my imaginary readers that were thinking of Belize or other Central/South American countries should listen to John McAfee's tale of what can happen to wealthy Americans trying to setup life in a Central/South American country.

The problem with all these stories is they are missing the point of what is going on.  This is not an attempt for money to flee the country, it's stopping dollars from coming back into this country.

Ponder that for a moment.  Fences with barbed wire can be used to keep people in, but also to keep people out.

The dollar is dying and the world knows it.  Couple that with how seriously pissed most of the free world is with Obama and the United States right now for spying on all their phone calls and here is what really scares the financiers of America:  all those foreign owned dollars and bonds suddenly finding their way back to America.  Picture a kid trying to sort 4 dozen marbles and someone comes along and drops another 12 dozen marbles on top of him.

If all those foreign used dollars were suddenly sent back to the US, your dollar, which is really worth about 2 cents from what it was back in 1913, would become less than a penny.  Okay, lost some on that maybe.  If there were 6 trillion dollars in circulation in the US and suddenly another 6 trillion were put in circulation overnight, your 1,000 dollars would lose half it's value and only buy 500 dollars worth of stuff.

So what we are preventing is not our citizens moving money out of the country, we are preventing foreign citizens/corporations that own dollars from flooding our market as they dump the dollar.  Which makes me also think, connecting the dots of history, there is another few cards in the deck about to be played.

The dollar is about to be eliminated, completely, replaced with a new US currency.  Maybe the Canadians will join us, maybe the Mexicans, but let's keep it simple and just say Americans will be involved.

We will call the new currency, the Obama.  One Obama will be set to 3 US dollars and any US citizen with dollars in US banks, any corporation with dollars in US banks, will automatically exchange their 3 dollars for an Obama.  Your rent, mortgage, salary, etc etc etc will all be reduced accordingly, so instead of 900 dollar rent your rent will be 300 Obamas.  Your salary of 60,000 dollars will be 20,000 Obamas.

And any foreign person or government holding US dollars, well, it will not be worth anything.  So all the debt we owe foreign holders will be gone.  Our debt with be reduced by 2/3, so most Americans will think "hey, that's great!" without realizing the shell game just done.

Or, we may join the Euro, except call it the Amero, and make it a one to one trade; Canada and Mexico will definitely go for this, as will Europe, and the advantage to this solution will be to create a giant conglomerate of European and North American currency to prevent the Chinese currency from becoming the de facto currency of the world.  I would almost bet Russia would then join the Euro under these circumstances.

Either way, foreign owned dollars and bonds will be worthless and no way to move them back to the US.  And this is going to cause some interesting reactions from Asia.  China and India could very quickly, followed by all of Southeast Asia, into the Chinese currency.  Oil would trade for either, the arabs don't care.

Now all of this may sound like the ravings of some idiot blogger, which it is, but that doesn't mean it is wrong.  See, you only need to go back 40 years to understand this kind of thing happened before.

Nixon was president and our dollar was tied to gold.  Gold was fixed at 35 bucks an ounce and had been for over 100 years.  Well, the Brits had been collecting lots and lots of dollars over the years and one day called up Nixon and announced they had a few billion in US dollars and wanted to trade them all in for gold.  It would have seriously cleared out space at Fort Knox.  Dangerously so.  Nixon paced and cursed around the White House for a few days then met with the Saudi's and the deal was struck.  We would go off the gold standard, the price of gold would no longer be fixed, the price of oil would also become unfixed and Opec would only trade oil in dollars, requiring any country that wanted to by mideast oil to buy it in US dollars.  And Nixon told Britain to stuff it.

The point is, we technically defaulted.  It was a very very bumpy decade that followed but eventually it all settled down.  So don't think the same slight of hand screw job can't be pulled off again.

There was a time we had a good thing going on
You and I both know the reason why it all went wrong
Tried to stick by you, help you see it through
But you used me all up, now you're on your own

So, don't come around here no more, bringing me all of your bad rain
Can't you see I've got troubles of my own?
I ain't got time to be messing with all of your bad rain
Why in the world can't you just leave that stuff alone?

Well, besides a phone interview in 30 minutes, I found something to do today.  Story from Drudge linked to deadline.com:

Also sold through ABC Studios is The Alzheimer’s Project, a single-camera script at ABC based on an original idea by Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment. Written by Sam Sklaver (HBO’s Bored To Death), it’s a comedy about a father with early onset Alzheimer’s trying to reconnect with his family. Kaplan is executive producing, with Sklaver co-exec producing. Sklaver, repped by WME and Wetdog Entertainment, is also developing Jenny’s an Idiot for Hulu.

Yes, they are going to make a TV show about Alzheimer's.  A sitcom comedy, which as near as I remember is pretty much an oxymoron since the 1990's.

So some hot producer is going to make a joke about a dad with Alzheimer's.  Think he should read my book, you know, the one that has sold a massive 20 copies?  The book is full of hilarious stories about bowel obstruction removal, catheter being pulled, doing laundry all day, walks, drives, upsets, feedings.  I mean there are three years worth of stories for Aaron Kaplan to turn into comedy for the American idiot  to waste their lives in front of night after night.

This is my argument with God.  Some moron named Kaplan just got paid millions of dollars to develop a TV program making fun of people with Alzheimer's and some poor sap who takes care of his dad for the last years of his life can barely sell 20 books.  Satan out -markets God.  In a just world, my book would sell hundreds of thousands and Aaron would be working in an Alzheimer's wing for even thinking it was funny.  Are there funny moments in caring for someone, of course, but they are islands in a sea of sadness.

But then I thought, hey, why stop there?  Look at all the diseases we could have for sitcoms.  How about a story of men dying from AIDS called Gay's Anatomy?  Or a country western singer with Parkinson's Disease called Shake, Rattle, and Roll?  How about a hilarious comedy about child molestation called Uncle Aaron's Secret Room!  Think of the laughs!

God forgive me, but there are mornings I awake and am disappointed to find out DC to NY or California were not washed away into the sea during the night.  I'm sorry, but I cannot see a revival in this country happening.  We are too far gone.  Satan has won the US for good until God slaps his hands.

I have stopped listening to much of talk internet radio, the constant bombardment of crashing and burning weighs on a man.  It's not that I think they are wrong, though many have been predicting 'this is it' for so long it's hard to listen to them anymore.

Been wrapping my mind around a question a pastor asked recently, "how do you know if a man is a Christian" and the truth is, you can't.  In the end, we really don't know what is in a pastors heart or head, what is in any person's heart or head.  Which is why I hate that "if I die tomorrow I know I am going to heaven, ask me how" I hear so often.  I believe in God, I believe in Jesus walking the earth, dying on the cross for my sins, rising from the dead.  But am I truly saved?

I know many who blast people like Steve Quayle, but I like listening to the guy.  I wish my pastor preached that way.  Is he saved or just a marketing guru?  In the end, who can say other than God?  But he makes me think and he has the guts to say what most pastors don't, so he's okay in my book.  Unlike Aaron Kaplan.  At least Steve Quayle won't be making Alzheimer's jokes.

I think I will spend the afternoon working on getting my book published in softcover.  I'll use the Amazon partner which means I won't make much per book, but it might help some sales.  Dreams die hard.

I might have to get a TV now, just so I can put a 357 round through the damn thing when this stupid show airs.  Nah, not enough satisfaction.  Sledgehammer.  Definitely a sledgehammer.

Darkened rolling figures move through prisms of no color.
Hand in hand, they walk the night,
But never know each other.
Passioned pastel neon lights light up the jeweled trav'ler
Who, lost in scenes of smoke filled dreams,
Find questions, but no answers.

You don't have to be paranoid to get the feeling something evil this way comes.  Latest reports have jobs down again, more people of working age unemployed than ever before, a higher percentage of working age not working than ever before,  but fear not, in spite of fewer jobs, more people unemployed, the government unemployment number will go down and Wall Street will sour!  I mean soar!

On Nov 1st they are going to cut food stamp benefits so instead of food stamps feeding a family for three weeks a month, it will now feed them for two weeks a month.  But I'm sure all those people you saw rioting a couple of weeks ago when they couldn't buy food with their government card will act very maturely when they find out their benefits were cut by 25% or so.  Very Mature.

My advice, do some major grocery shopping on Oct 31st to cover yourself for several weeks.

I wonder if you can get a bumper sticker or T shirt, written in Russian and Chinese, that reads "Don't shoot me.  I didn't vote for Obama, lost my job during his administration, was spied on by the NSA during his administration, and got financially hosed by his administration, too!"

I saw recently those Christians in Syria are getting pulled out of their homes, watching their homes torched, then beheaded unless the rebels get creative and cut open the chest of young girls and pull their hearts out, yes, they video taped it.  All paid for with your tax dollars, my imaginary readers.  We provide aid, weapons, and food for these rebels.

The Christians in these communities are calling Russia for help.  Think about that, some of the oldest Christian villages on Earth, around since 1st century A.D., are asking Russia for help from US backed rebels who are slaughtering them.

What does this administration have to do to get a couple of hundred million Americans off their ass and say no more?  What more can this administration do before Christians in this country refuse to pay any taxes because their tax money is being used to fund the slaughter of Christians in Syria, Egypt, or where ever Obama is planning to attack next.

What is the difference between the tens of thousands of innocent men, women, and children who have been killed the last four years by Obama's Drone Attacks and the Brits killed by Hitler's air attacks?

We are not the good guys anymore folks.  Remember how you were sold the bill of goods by the media that the world hated us because of Bush?  It was a lie.  But NOW, the world hates us because the French and Germans have found out that our Obama administration has been tapping the phones, cell phones, and email accounts of all the government officials in France and Germany including Merkel.

And what is Obama doing with all this information?  Blackmail.  Just like Justice Roberts was blackmailed into his Obamacare vote.  That was the little secret Glenn Beck had and was going to announce last fall then disappeared for awhile and never came out with the news that was going to bring down the government.

So what is the point?  The point is for over 200 years, when the SHTF anywhere in the world, the US was there to help.  The american people pulled out their wallets to help, even if the country that had an earthquake was "an enemy", we pulled out the wallets and rolled up our sleeves to help those people in those countries.

But when it happens here, don't expect to see any help. The world now hates us, it blames us, it doesn't trust us.  Russia is more loved and respected by the free world than we are under Obama.   The world is going to look at the US and say it's about time the chickens came home to roost.  And they will sit back and wait until most of us are dead then sweep in for the resources.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Are you happy?  I have thought about that question many times recently.  In spite of my hardships and arguing with God over the past year, I do have happy days where I just lock up anything I should be worrying about and ignore it all to watch clouds, enjoy the fall colors, walk the dog, chat with people, etc.

So right now in life, I would say I'm not the happiest clown on the planet, but I started paying attention recently and realized almost no one is happy.

I was coming out of a parking lot recently and traffic was backed up in front of me by a light, giving me a chance to observe drivers.  No one was smiling.  No one was talking.  One person was eating and another was texting.  But no one was happy, no one was singing, chatting with another in the car.

You see it walking around town.  Oh sure, the stoned college kids are laughing and having a good time, well, that is what college is for, the joy before the reality of life, a prolonged adolescence you think will last forever but will be over in a very short time.

I am seriously fighting the urge to get stoned again.  I will tell you a little secret about my brain.  I can't focus.  When I read, part of my brain is racing on other things.  When I watch TV, it's racing on other things.  I have to often reread entire chapters because while I was reading, something else was going on in my head.  That is why I watch a movie while I read.  It keeps the other side of the brain busy.

But in my youth and for a few years after, if I caught a light buzz, I could focus on a book completely, totally, for hours.  I got my highest test scores stoned.  Because I focused.  Oh well, where was I.

I don't see happy people in church, well, except the pastor, he seems to always be in a good mood.  But most of the people in the congregation are not real happy.  And I skipped the Wednesday night service this week.  Wednesday is prayer night and the list of people dying of this or that is getting pretty damn long and we pray week after week but I never hear of any of them making some miraculous recovery, just a new prayer for the family for the loss after weeks of praying for a recovery that never comes.  Plus, what appears to me a total lack of response to any prayer I've ask of God for the past couple of years, I'm starting to be afraid my praying for some guy dying might be the final kabash on the poor guy's life.

What are we missing in our belief in God?  We are suppose to be able to heal, but it is so rare.  God talks to so few of us, and many who think they are talking to God, probably are not.  I get very suspicious of all these people with visions that it's not God giving them the visions.  I read somewhere that the devil can't read out thoughts, but only hear when we speak, so I tend to pray silently.

Why does God allow Satan a PhD in marketing and the highest commissions?

Speaking of the devil's spawn, did you catch what happened today in DC?  With the new ceiling, we announced we suddenly spent nearly 400 billion dollars in one day.  ONE DAY!  That is after the numerical shenanigans I earlier told you about where the federal debt was frozen for over 100 days just below the ceiling and now we find out they were cooking the numbers and what we really spent was about 400 billion over those 100 days and it's now just catching up.

Maybe this is why no one is happy.  Deep down, we all see what is coming and just hope the music keeps playing a little longer.  By the time Obama leaves office in 2017 unless a well place meteor hit him on the golf course; tell me that wouldn't fill the churches on Sunday, our national debt will be well over 20 trillion dollars.  Right now over 6 trillion dollars are the IOUs in SS/Med.  That is money that was taken from us in payroll taxes, then taken out by congress and replaced with government bonds so they could spend the cash, and now we will have to use our tax money again to pay back the tax money that was stolen; that is double taxation folks.

I am telling you one more time.  The only way the government can get out of this is to wipe out the baby boom generation over the next 10 years.  Activate that SV40 virus that was in the polio vaccine or come up with some other way to get 90% of the baby boomers to die before they hit 70.  Some thing that will cause quick cancers, strokes or heart attacks.

God talked to a woman in DC.  I wish he would talk to the rest of us.

 Dawn is a feeling
A beautiful ceiling
The smell of grass
Just makes you pass
Into a dream

You're here today
No future fears
This day will last
A thousand years
If you want it to

You look around you
Things they astound you
So breathe in deep
You're not asleep
Open your mind

You're here today
No future fears
This day will last
A thousand years
If you want it to

Moody Blues

I liked the story of the woman working as a 125k a year steno for congress who grabbed the microphone the other night and told them Freemasons founded this country, we are not under God, we better repent, etc etc etc.

And then they took her off for a mental health evaluation and how would a shrink view a person who says "God told me to do it?"  Frankly, I envy the woman, I wish God would talk to me.

One, if not my favorite, Bible accounts is Acts 9.  Saul is on the road to Damascus to hunt down and kill some Christians; instead, he meets Jesus on the road.  Many people think this is where Saul is "born again", but it's not.

See, Saul is the Renaissance Man, some 1500 years before anyone knew what a Renaissance Man would be.  He was a trained Rabbi by one of the students of one of the most famous Rabbi in Hebrew lore.  He had the equivalent of a doctor of greek philosophy from some Ivy League school so he was well versed in the sciences of the times, Socrates and Aristotle - which you can see in his arguments in Romans and other letters, and to top it off, he is a Roman citizen.  In these days, where Rome rules all, local laws still are used but cannot be applied against a Roman citizen.  So if in Syria, you step on a crack and they break your mothers back, if a Roman citizen steps on a crack, well, nothing happens.  It's like the first 'get out of jail free' card in the world.

So this is the man walking to Damascus.  An intellectual sociopath with a get out of jail free card.  Nothing can touch him.  And then he meets Jesus.

This guy's brain is fried.  The moment with Jesus blew his mind, as they use to say.  Nothing in his education prepared him for the event he went through and to top it off, he was blinded.  Blinded by the light, some 1938 years before Manfred Mann sang the tune.

So what was Saul thinking about?  I'M BLIND.  That is it.  Think of it this way, you wake up in the hospital after a car wreck.  The doctor says welcome back, we almost lost you.  Your back is broken and your legs are currently paralyzed, you ruptured your spleen and we had to remove it, you lost a kidney, you broke four ribs, a broken jaw, lost hearing in your left ear and your nose is broke.  And you say, "what do you mean my legs are paralyzed!".

Saul is blind.  He is to go to Damascus where someone will come and heal his blindness.   Saul thinks this means his eyesight, but that is for later in the story.  Saul isn't saved, Saul is blind and all he cares about right now is he is blind.

Meanwhile, a Christian man in Damascus named Ananias is sleeping peacefully when God comes to him in a dream.  Now Ananias and other Christians in Damascus are well aware that the butcher Saul is headed to Damascus and I'm sure they are bunkered down in hiding.  But God comes to Ananias and says "Ananias, I need you to do me a favor".  And of course Ananias says "Sure, God, you name it!"  Probably darned excited that God would come to him in a dream for a favor!

And God tells him he is to go to this house on this certain street where Saul is waiting and he is to share the gospel of Jesus with Saul.

And Ananias says "SAY WHAT?"

And God tells him he is to go to this house on this certain street where Saul is waiting and he is to share the gospel of Jesus with Saul.

And Ananias says "You want me to go find the butcher Saul who kills your followers and knock on his door and say Hi, want to hear the Gospel?"

And God says yes, and while you are there, I am going to have you cure his blindness too.  And then Ananias fell back asleep.

And in the morning, he went downstairs and said to his wife, "Honey, don't ever serve me that spicy lamb sausage like you did last night.  You wouldn't believe the dream I had!  God told me to go find Saul so I could tell him all about Jesus and everlasting life!"

No, that is not what happened.  Ananias put on his sandals and walked to the house.  I mean you gotta know how hard this must have been.  Saul was like Freddy Kruger to the Christians.  But Ananias went because God told him to go and Ananias told Saul what to do so he'd no longer be blind, shared the Gospel with him, and Saul became a believer that day.  Then Saul ran out of the house and started sharing the gospel, no, Saul ended up studying for almost a decade before his first crusade.

And by the way, remember there were no NT books all printed up. Some of the Gospels had been written, maybe Matthew and Mark, but they used the OT to prove that Jesus was the Messiah.

That is one of my favorite events in the Bible.  The faith of Ananias to go and knock on the door of someone he viewed as the personification of evil itself and did so because God told him to do so.

And so a woman in DC had dreams from God telling her to do what she would do, not to worry about what to say, God would give her the words, and when the time came she did so.

And what did she say?  Don't you think that is important?

'He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked- don't touch me- He will not be mocked,' she said.
'The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been it would not have been. It would not have been.
'The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God. Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to Jesus.'

It will probably cost her the job, she will be declared nuts, but she did it because God told her to do it.

Would I?  Would you?

Read an article this weekend on companies using online psychology tests to determine good potential employees.  One company even came up with a game where you are a sushi chef and you have to provide food based on attitude of customers, keep the sushi bar clean, etc.

I'm never going to find a job in this world again.  When is someone in the business world going to understand that doing good on a test means you are a good test taker, and most people in HR departments are the silent wallflowers in a classroom who get perfect scores on tests?

Thinking about football this weekend because I don't have a TV and don't have a clue what is going on in general.  Allegory?

Denver was favored by something like 4 touchdowns over Jacksonville.  Did anyone check the betting on the game?  Anyone notice the heavy betting on Sunday morning on Jacksonville?  I have a friend who gambles and he told me it was happening….

Article this morning on Fox Sports about how players who get injured are not finding their jobs available when they come back which for years was an unwritten rule of sports; you don't lose your job to injury, well, unless you are Darryl Stingley or Chuck Hughs.  They pointed out how last year Smith went down with the 49er's and didn't get his job back and how certain quarterbacks this year are going to go through the same thing.

Here is the problem.  If you can lose your job to injury in professional sports, players will quit reporting their injuries and the problems with football players, hockey players and other who suffer concussions will only get worse, not better.  Unintended consequences from smart people only focused on winning and not the whole tapestry of life.  Shame on Jim Harbaugh for breaking the contract.

Which made me think of the 85 Bears.  There were better teams over time, the Steelers and Cowboys of the 70's, the 49er's of the 80's for example, but I don't think there was any one team that so dominated the league for one season, oh shut the hell up 72 Dolphins - you didn't dominate anyone.  They not only scored a lot of points, they didn't give up any points.  Hmm, makes me wonder what the biggest points for/points against spread is for a team over 16 games.  But as a Bear fan from way back in the middle 1960's when Sayers ran and other players ran from Butkis at Wrigley, I think of that 85 team and it is so sad, what became of these 'heroes'.  Some of those monsters on defense, Perry, Marshall, and others are crippled old men by the time they hit 50; broke with medical expenses out the wazoo; artificial knees, hips, shoulders, and everything else.  McMahon has severe dementia, Duerson took his life due to the mental decline.  Walter died of cancer, with the unspoken question of whether his liver problems may have been a result of things he took when he was a player.

I'm not sure how people can watch football anymore, knowing the young studs they watch and cheer each week will be physical and mental wrecks in 20 years.  It's like cheering a train wreck.

And this 11:11 thing is really driving me nuts.  I mean it is happening almost every day now.  11:11 or 1:11, I catch it constantly.  About six months or so ago, I actually took a two week survey and wrote down any time I looked at a clock to see the time.  I never wear a watch, you see, and have no clocks on the wall, though my Bose radio has a clock on it, my Mac has a clock, and my iPhone has a clock.  So it's not like I am constantly surrounding by the time or constantly looking at a clock.  Over the two week period I saw 11:11 twelve time, 1:11 eleven times, and no other time recorded repeated.  But for the last two weeks it is constant, every damn day.

I've gone through the Bible and looked up every 11:11 chapter and verse, though I'm not sure that is such a sign.  After all, those chapter/verse things were done by an obviously drunk or blind monk at some point over the centuries.  You have verses ending and beginning in the middle of sentences!

If you look up hebrew numbers/meanings, it is also sort of strange because a 1 means unity or new beginnings while 11 means disorder and judgment.  Well, I certainly can relate to the disorder of my life and the feeling I'm under some sort of cosmic judgment and not coming out real well on the scale of life.  And unity or new beginnings can sound nice, but it can also be a warning ala, oh Lenin, Mao, and others brought unity and new beginnings.

So why 11:11?  Why never a 10:10 or 12:12?  In my two week study, I only got one other number, one time, that was like that, 3:33.  So the face these two numbers showed up over 40% of the possible times in a two week period and no other number repeated is a statistical interesting concept and for the past week it's been happening every damn day.  Is this some mental attraction thing and if so, why can't I attract a job or money or something, why is it some stupid number?  My brain hurts.

In the beginning, I believed every word that you said,
Now that you're gone my world is in shreds.
Oh, you loved me and left me,
You took all the things that I needed so bad,
I'm standing here wondering where is the love that I had?
In the silver, blue and gold,
The color of the sky I'm told,
My rain-bow is overdue.

Oh lordy, does my knee hurt.  I did lunges again at kettle bell class last night.  We were suppose to hold a weighted bar over our heads while lunging down the length of the gym.  Most people had a problem holding the bar over their head.  For me, that was no problem.  But my left knee was screaming, I kept going, and last night and today there is a really sharp pain right behind the knee cap which if I remember my anatomy classes in the "Oh shit, this is not good" injury.

Stupid, stupid, stupid: I know I'm not suppose to do lunges.  However, I am not that sore elsewhere which means this 55 year old body did 75 snatches with a 20kg kettle bell last night, 100 swings with same weight, get ups, and I don't remember what else because at a certain point of the workout my brain sort of goes somewhere while I go through the motions.

In all my searches and readings to keep my mind occupied and off the fact my life is crashing and burning, I came across some youtube videos of a woman I kind of remembered from a few years ago named Ann Barnhardt.

I do recall some woman who was shutting down her brokerage company because she thought something was fishy and didn't want to be a part of it.  But I never really followed it up.  Well, recently I heard an interview with some woman and was like "wow" and looked it up, then looked her up, and for the last 24 hours, minus sleep, I've been reading her web site and listening to some of her youtube videos and think I am pretty much in love.

You have to admire this chick.  I love where she burns the koran AFTER putting some bacon inside the pages.  She doesn't hold anything back and unlike all the other chicken littles selling the sky is falling DVD's and books, she has some background in markets and can explain what has been happening, what is happening, and how it is going to come crashing down better than anyone else I've heard.

Now, I don't agree with everything the woman says.  Her defense of the Douay Rheims version of the Bible shows she should do a little more research into what came before, how the Douay Rheims was seriously corrupted, how the Vulgate itself was shown to have many errors when the greeks escaped Constantinople with the greek texts etc.  But in this coming battle, the arguments between Catholics, Baptists, and others will need to see a back burner for a few decades and we need to quit arguing over what we disagree on and remember what we agree on; that Jesus died for our sins and we serve Him.  All those other doctrinal issues will have to take a backseat during the purge.

I found her presentation on SS/MED to be pretty good, but not sure she can fully appreciate the consequences of just killing SS/MED on many elderly people.  I like my idea for Medicare better.  Kill Obamacare.  Kill the Medicare/Medicaid payroll taxes.  Institute a 10% sales tax in each state to provide health care for everyone in the state.  Fed is out of it completely.  Each state collects a 10% sales tax on everything sold including services and it funds health care for the residents of the state.  As for SS, she probably is right, kill the program for everyone born after a certain date, but the taxes will be collected until about 2059 to pay for those born before 1960.

The point this woman continually makes in her presentations is it's time to recognize when the horse is dead.

But the big one you can't miss is the two hour The Economy Is About To Implode.  Her explanation of banking, brokers, why the 0 interest rates have created the mess, why it is a mess, and how there is no solution for what is about to happen.  Her background as a cattle futures broker gives her a unique perspective, the fact she is totally politically incorrect is refreshing.  This video is mind blowing with the description of what Corzine was doing, how banking works today, and you can't watch this video and not come out of it with a really bad feeling in your gut that the game of musical chairs is about to come to an end.  And tell me if you don't agree that all these bankers and politicians should be arrested, tried by Judge Roy Bean, and taken outside and shot or hung.  Today.

By the way, do you know where politically incorrect was first coined?  Lenin's Russia - anyone who didn't fall into line with Lenin was politically incorrect and usually led to a death sentence.  Something one should consider.  Politically correct is Marxist.

I also love the fact she ripped the 9/11 Truthers a pretty big one.  Nice to hear someone else out there willing to voice that internet blasphemy.

So, I recommend you spend a few hours catching up with this gal.  She is a treasure.  I wonder if she would find a middle aged guy with no money, no job, loosing hair, and unread author attractive?

edited 5:19pm   Jeesh, excuse me for forgetting the lyrics!  Maybe I should just post song lyrics and forget the writing...

I've grown fat I've grown a beard I've grown alone
Seems no one comes to stay in my loneliness
Sometimes love and sometimes none
I'm out of luck but I'm not done

Today is Groundhog Day

Take me to a party take me to a room
Where there ain't no corner
For me to run into
I think I'm gonna have to touch everyone in the place
A game of hearts playing face to face
How long a line to a space
Where I look at mine

You know I'm gonna have to touch everyone in their place
Feel every part tasting every taste
How much more running in place will it take to find

It's Groundhog Day

I wrote Bill O'Reilly last night.  I see his latest book has now sold over 1/4 of a million copies.  I'm not sure how much of the book he writes, whether the other guy's name on the cover does the research, the writing, or both.  I remember so many times O'Reilly talking about hard work and persistence is what it takes to get ahead in life.

So I wrote Bill and asked him why, when all he does is put his name on a book, it sells 1/4 of a million copies and I spend four years in the hell known as a caretaker for my dad with Alzheimer's while he sits on his ass for an hour a day in NY making millions, why his book sells 1/4 of a million and I have sold 16 copies of my book.  Who worked harder on his book?  Who bled for his words?

So much for the theory of hard work.  My plan for living in my car next year is looking better all the time.  I must be some sort of masochist to think like that but the truth is I solve problems.  Getting a job and spending 8 years paying off the debt is not a solution, it's pushing the problem down the road.  Live in the car for a year with a low paying job and I can wipe out most of the debt in one year, finish my masters in Theology, and be free to move forward if I live through the year.  Let's face it, being homeless is an invitation for arrest by cops, just for the hell of it.  But it still solves the problem in one year.

Of course, there is always just not paying off the loan and credit card as an option, but some stupid fool like me has this 'right thing to do' theory on living and I'm not going to change now, no matter how stupid it makes me.

Which brings me to the topic of the blog today; solving problems.  Washington is shutdown and finger pointing is going on in both directions, which is fair because both parties are responsible for the financial mess this country is living.  Nice thing about being in the 50's is we remember when the debate was that the budget deficit was almost a billion dollars.  For a year. And you know the funny thing?  That wasn't that long ago. Today, our budget deficit is 5 billion dollars a day. Do the math, 5 billion a day.  Can't blame one party for this mess, both parties and all of us are responsible for the mess.

Think about that my imaginary readers, five billion dollars a day shortfall.  And in the 1980's, it was approaching 1 billion for the year.  Not 30 years past.

What is strange, well besides me being in a good mood today, is that for over 100 days this past summer, the federal deficit was frozen just below the limit.  Never moved.  Nada.  But now, in October, the start of the new fiscal year, with ObamaCare kicking in, and all the appropriation bills sent from the house to the senate have yet to see a vote, suddenly we have all three hitting at once and if that debt limit that was frozen for over 100 days is suddenly wanting to boom, it's the perfect storm and it was all designed to come down to this by someone in DC.

When Harry Reid chose not to allow any appropriation bills sent by the house to be approved or not approved, he was forcing this moment in time.  When the house said here is the bill but we won't fund ObamaCare, they were forcing this moment in time.  And when the agency responsible screwed with the numbers to freeze the debt just below the limit for over 100 days and now it's wanting to burst through the limit, they were forcing this moment in time.  For what purpose?  To make sure the debt limit is raised once again?  To make sure ObamaCare continues?  For political purposes?  Look at what they have shutdown. National parks, memorials, vet benefits.  But the congressional health clubs and restaurants are still open!

And every furloughed federal worker will get backpay for the work they missed.  Yep, it's like a free paid vacation for every federal worker.  Where do I sign up?

So, let it happen.  Let's go bankrupt.  Let the fed not pay their debts, let all of us not pay our debts.  Let's just wipe the slate clean!   At some point, we all know this day is coming, we fold, the house of cards falls around us, then we can pick up the pieces after much rioting, maybe some hangings, and all sorts of evil are unleashed upon the land.  The demons are barking at the gates of hell wanting to be unleashed on America.   Rather do it now than in 15 years when I'm too old to deal with it.  Besides, I'm already broke.  Can't take much from a man who has nothing worth stealing.

We've run up the credit cards pretty close to what is the maximum.  Would you buy a US bond?  Seriously?  China and other countries see this coming, they are buying gold left and right, with our dollars by the way.  All that chinese crap we've been buying is funding China, India, and others to buy their gold supplies while ours is probably all gone.  Rumors are Fort Knox is empty, the gold is long gone.  Our government has been dumping it; banks have been selling the same ounce 20 times, and it's all going to come crashing down.

So let it happen.  It's over.  Everyone knows it's over.  We are kicking a dead horse expecting it to get up and it's dead folks.  And remember, in my old blog, and in this blog, I've been warning you that the Fed Reserve buying 40 billion in mortgages each month for the past three years is really CHINA buying up those mortgages and when the whole thing crashes don't be surprised to see some china man and his family standing on your doorstep with the deed to your house.

We've been electing con-men for years.  They can't keep this up much longer and when it's about to fall, you can bet they will be heading for those underground cities under Denver airport, in the Ozarks, and several other locations as if that will protect them.

Well let it happen.  And after all these elite idiots barricade themselves underground, let's get the welders and steelworkers left in this country to go weld the doors shut on their underground cities forever.  Do you really think the soldiers left outside in the chaos won't be willing to let the welders through?

I'm feelin' so alone now
They cut the telephone now
Yeah my life is just a mess

I threw it all away now
I could have made a fortune
I lost the craving for success...

And as the acrobats they tumble
So the corn begins to crumble
While in the mirror
She admires a brand new dress...

Live on the second floor now
They're tryin' to bust the door down
Soon I'll have a new address...

So much for liberation
They'll have a celebration
Yeah I've been under too much stress

And as the clouds begin to rumble
So the juggler makes his fumble
And the sun upon my wall is getting less

I had a rather nice afternoon.  I spent hours and hours applying for jobs online and taking quiz after quiz to see if I qualify for an actual person to look at my resume.

It will be nice to be rejected by a human being soon, rather than by computer algorithm.  It boggles my mind, thinking how using the internet and computers to make all these decisions, would you buy a car without ever test driving it?  Would you pick a mate in life?  But then I realized people do that today.

But I called two of my references because it dawned on me I had not warned them of the coming potential onslaught of phone calls or emails they might be receiving asking them to give me a beautiful reference that I was the only person in the world who should be hired for whatever position I happen to be applying for this week.

It was nice to talk to old friends.  I so rarely do that anymore because, well frankly, I figured I was kind of a downer with taking care of my dad, his death, and now my coming potential total solar collapse into a black hole.

But one of them gave me some excellent advice which I'm not sure I will take, and that involves making my online presence on LinkedIn SING!  I hate social networking almost as much as I hate brussels sprouts and flying.  At least I don't have a picture of my dog on it anymore, that was so unprofessional, like I give a flying Fukushima.

So now I am getting this horrible feeling of getting dirty, of making myself yuky, by caving into the social networking world and making all the contacts with people I really don't hardly remember, begging people for recommendations so some head hunter somewhere can dig his way through to my profile and offer me a great job.  Cause if you don't do this, you are considered 'old'.

I prefer unique.  Especially since I can probably do more pushups than them.  Maybe.  Let's put it this way, can you pushup your age?  I can.  And I won't even think of listing that on LinkedIn.  I'm sorry, like business missing on getting the experience and knowledge of baby boomers for half price, why would you want to hire people who are so concerned with keeping up their social networks and dealing with all the headhunters contacting them constantly?

There is a reason 'old school' is popular; it doesn't mean the person is old, it means the person isn't jumping on the latest trends every 15 seconds.  Hell, I still dress in the same style clothing I dressed in the 1980's.  Jeans, oxford cloth shirts, t shirts with no writing, etc.  I just wish you could still get double breasted suits.

But what got me pondering things was something both of these friends and former bosses said, several times, about how good things were going in their life and how God is blessing them and providing clients for them and God is good to them, etc.

Does that mean God is not being good to me?  And here we are back to Job.  I don't know why I just don't write a commentary on Job.

See, the problem is if their lives are good because of God and my life is crap right now is it crap because of God?  Am I not doing something that they are doing?  Do they have favor with God while I'm out of favor?  Are all my problems punishment from God because I did something wrong or didn't do what I was suppose to and these two guys are pleasing God so life and business is good?

If God gets the credit for everything in your life that is good, who then is responsible for the bad things or when life goes bad?

My health is good, thank God.  But someone else is having health issues, maybe they ate well, worked out daily, but they have cancer.  Why is God blessing me and not blessing them?  Why does a seemingly good dad driving home from work tonight die in a car wreck and the drunken lout who beats his wife and then rapes his daughter live on to beat and rape another day?  Does the drunken lout think, 'thank God for my good health!'?

What was Job's sin?  He was a righteous man, did what God wanted, and had his whole life stripped away from him, except for the nagging wife.  His 'well to do' friends sat with him and discussed what Job must have done to cause God to punish him so, all the while thinking 'thank goodness I'm not Job'.  Was he rewarded in life because he was righteous or was he righteous because he was successful?  When it is all stripped away, he first blames himself, yet as time goes on he starts to justify himself to God.

But here we are back to today, where friends give thanks to God for all their successes while I wallow in poverty and thank God for my health, at least I have that, still.

I don't know, it just struck me strange, bugged me like a pebble in my shoe, and got me thinking.  To accept God is responsible for their success would imply that God is responsible for my failures, or at least they are right with God and I am not.  But I don't think God is responsible for my failures, I think I am responsible for the choices I made and the bed I lie; yet, I would not have changed the choice to care for my dad even though it has left me such.  And I will admit to a little Jobian issue that I expected God to reward me for taking care of my dad, that things would change but that is back to Job and his righteousness and Job and I thinking our 'goodness' deserves some sort of reward.

But it did make an impression on me that if life ever does reverse and I do become successful again, when talking to someone on the down side of life, be careful implying that God is being good to me and not to you.

But oh God, do I really have to do Linkedin.com to get a job?  Do we really have to sell our souls to the machine?   I think I'd rather live in my car and work a night job than give in to the dark side called social networking!  I like friends, not social network contacts that are not really friends.  I'd rather have just 5 people I could call friends than 5000 contacts on LinkedIn.

Wow, that last line would make a good country western song.

The songs that you once loved to sing
Are ones that make you cry
And wouldn't you just give it all to never say goodbye
We once lived in forevers
But we learned to say goodbye

Do you have a photograph when you were only growing
And your heart was in it
Little reason lots of rhyme
Were you happy in it
But your reason changed your mind
Did you love forever
But your reason changed your mind
Were you happy in it at the time

Is what you wanted long ago long gone from your mind
Asks a ghost in dreaming
Or a friend you left behind
The songs that you once loved to sing
Are the ones that make you cry
And wouldn't you just give it all to never say goodbye
Oh goodbye... goodbye... goodbye... goodbye…

Wow, Washington is shut down, though many came back to work long enough to get these really cool lapel pins to celebrate the shooting of a young african american woman who took a wrong turn with her baby in the car.  Her fault, she panicked.  Why would anyone panic when dozens of men armed with uzi type machine guns surround your car?  And since they managed to shoot this unarmed dental hygienist over 15 times without hitting the tires, someone got a good deal on a new pair of radials to boot.

I wonder if terrorist alerts were issued looking for young professional black women with children in the back seat driving late model Infinity automobiles.

But in spite of our government shutdown, the coming death of the dollar in 10 days when the debt limit is reached, which seems to be an annual "who shot JR" cliff hanger type show for us to watch, and the internet abuzz with the coming destruction of the planet by some evil rocky type villain hunk from another part of the galaxy named Ison, the president took time from his busy schedule to announce he thinks the Redskins should change their name.

Damn, this man is good.

I've already given my opinion on the topic.  I think the Redskins should change their name to the Washington Boys Named Sioux.  But no one listens to me.

Not to be outdone, the Federated United Brotherhood of Urban Cowboys, FUBUC, released a statement today denouncing the use of the term Cowboys as a sports team.  According to the spokesman for FUBUC, Beauregard "Tex" Whinegate III:

"Many urban cowboys find the use of team names such as Cowboys and Broncos to be demeaning to all the Urban Cowboys in America.  We spend thousands of dollars each year on authentic cowboy hats, boots, embroidered shirts and special Calvin Klein cowboy jeans to perfect the image of the great american cowboy.  Every Friday and Saturday night you will find us at Gilley's and hundreds of other high end honky-tonks drinking imported long necks and riding mechanical bulls while we sing along to Willie Nelson cover bands.  And then to wake up on a Sunday, while we try to get nacho cheese off our $200 Calvin Klein authentic cowboy jeans, we are beset by football teams who's names mock our very existence!"

There you go, now even the Ivy League MBA types who sell options on horses for meat all week long before dressing up in authentic designer cowboy clothes each weekend to two step are offended by sport team names.  To subject these sensitive urban cowboys to the mocking of their very essence is not only a crime, but a potential cause of serious psychological damage that could lead to years of disability claims.

Why wasn't this covered in Obamacare?  Doesn't anyone care?  Can't we run commercials with Sarah McLachlan singing some ballad in the background while we watch broken urban cowboys with sad faces or something?  Where is America?

Oh, yea, America is watching Miley Cyrus try to do something on stage Madonna hasn't yet done.  Not very much to work with there Miley, if it was offensive, Madonna did it, bottled it, marketed it, and branded it already.  Talk about watching a train wreck.  Which is exactly what Americans are doing.

The Japan Times writes, “In November, Tepco plans to begin the delicate operation of removing spent fuel from Reactor No. 4 [with] radiation equivalent to 14,000 times the amount released by the Hiroshima atomic bomb. Removing its spent fuel, which contains deadly plutonium, is an urgent task. The consequences could be far more severe than any nuclear accident the world has ever seen. If a fuel rod is dropped, breaks or becomes entangled while being removed, possible worst-case scenarios include a big explosion, a meltdown in the pool, or a large nuclear fire. Any of these situations could lead to massive releases of deadly radionuclides into the atmosphere, putting much of Japan — including Tokyo and Yokohama — and even neighboring countries at serious risk.”
The operator of Japan’s crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is preparing to remove 400 tons of highly irradiated spent fuel from a damaged reactor building. Containing more than 1,300 used fuel rod assemblies packed tightly together they need to be removed from a the third floor of a building that is vulnerable to collapse, should another large earthquake hit the area.

Tepco expects to take about a year removing the assemblies. Each fuel rod assembly weighs about 300 kilograms (660 pounds) and is 4.5 meters (15 feet) long. Spent fuel rods also contain plutonium, one of the most toxic substances in the universe.

Former U.N. adviser Akio Matsumura calls removing the radioactive materials from the Fukushima fuel pools “an issue of human survival”. Mycle Schneider and Antony Froggatt said recently in their World Nuclear Industry Status Report 2013, “Full release from the Unit-4 spent fuel pool, without any containment or control, could cause by far the most serious radiological disaster to date.”

The operation, beginning this November at the plant’s Reactor No. 4, is fraught with danger, including the possibility of a large release of radiation if a fuel assembly breaks, gets stuck or gets too close to an adjacent bundle. Removing the rods from the pool is a delicate task normally assisted by computers, according to Toshio Kimura, a former Tepco technician, who worked at Fukushima Daiichi for 11 years. “Previously it was a computer-controlled process that memorized the exact locations of the rods down to the millimeter and now they don’t have that. It has to be done manually so there is a high risk that they will drop and break one of the fuel rods,” Kimura said.

Yes, my fellow humans, while Miley tries to figure out if Madonna ever did THAT with a Volvo and urban cowboys wither away in a fetal position, afraid to go outside, because a sports team uses the name Cowboys, while DC police look for unsuspecting young professional black women making illegal turns to use for target practice, while our leaders in congress miss tanning booth time or golf games playing ping pong with the dollar; our Japanese scientists and engineers who first thought it was a good idea to build a nuke plant on the edge of the ocean on top of a major fault line are the same engineers that after playing Operation for 6 months are now ready to try to remove all the wasted nuke rods out of the building without touching the sides and if just one of those 600 pound rods breaks, we could wipe out much of the life on the planet.

We are so FUBUC'ed.

Through this world I've stumbled
So many times betrayed
Trying to find an honest word to find
The truth enslaved
Oh you speak to me in riddles
And you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath
Your words keep me alive

“If greed were not the master of modern man--ably assisted by envy--how could it be that the frenzy of economism does not abate as higher "standards of living" are attained, and that it is precisely the richest societies which pursue their economic advantage with the greatest ruthlessness?"
E.F. Schumacher, Small Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

I've been pondering Schumacher's work of late, for some reason, this is one of the few textbooks I've retained from college over 30 years ago.  I was pretty liberal then, became conservative, and now am pretty sure both sides of this argument are pretty nuts and wrong.

Article today in Washington Examiner, for your consideration.  Merck has announced another round of layoffs, bringing the total this year alone to 16,000.  Why is this interesting?  Merck is also one of the corporations urging, read paying off, congress to loosen immigration laws to allow more foreign workers into this country.  The article also mentions HP, Cisco, United Tech, Am Ex, P&G, Cigna, or the list goes on.  More than 100 of the largest corporations in America are laying off people like pigeons poop and asking, read paying off, congress to allow more foreign workers into this country because they are needed.

“An attitude to life which seeks fulfilment in the single-minded pursuit of wealth - in short, materialism - does not fit into this world, because it contains within itself no limiting principle, while the environment in which it is placed is strictly limited.”
E.F. Schumacher, Small Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

From Wall Street to the corporate offices of almost every major US corporation, the MBA trained leaders are selling the future of America for the future of their corporation. Where business once strengthened this nation, business is now tearing down our nation, eliminating the middle class, and importing labor from foreign countries.  Why is no other country importing American labor and knowledge?  Why has the education system for 30 years been designed to create mindless drone employees and then business not want to hire american drones, they want to import them from foreign countries.

In the end, the goal is to eliminate the countries entirely, I think.  I connect the dots on this stuff, haven't started stringing yarn around the apartment making giant dioramas yet, but as I try to follow the eventualities of these decisions, the only conclusion I can come to is a world with no borders, no nationalities.  But what I can't figure out is what they intend to do with 100 million Americans who can't find jobs?  Prices keep rising, income keeps dropping.  Nothing works, nobody knows anything anymore other than what their computer screen tells them is going on and this is leading where?

“Economic development is something much wider and deeper than economics, let alone econometrics. Its roots lie outside the economic sphere, in education, organisation, discipline and, beyond that, in political independence and a national consciousness of self-reliance.”
E.F. Schumacher, Small Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

And what we have developed into is a country with no discipline, political dependence, and no national consciousness or self reliance.

I wonder if all these brainy MBA types working towards this future world have given any consideration to what is going to happen to all the 'war' industries?  If they are trying to create this beautiful utopia of no countries, no boundaries, no governments, just a great big board of directors, what happens to all the multi billion dollar businesses that make tanks, planes, bombs, and all those other cool toys?  Are they just going to shut down the submarine and naval yards and make, yarn for dioramas?  Sounds like a snag in the old global corporate plan if you ask me.

The problem with so many ideas is that what sounds so great in theory always crashes and burns in reality.  Now if you are in the fortunate 1% to 5%, any system will be fine.  Communist Russia was probably great for those in the top 5% of things.  Capitalism seems to be the best system to get the maximum benefit for the most, but if you don't control capitalists, they will, well, see America in the new millennium.  We are no longer capitalistic, we are fascist; government controlled privately owned business with the bottom line more important than the country or the people working for them.

"The modern economy is propelled by a frenzy of greed and indulges in an orgy of envy, and these are not accidental features but the very causes of its expansionist success. The question is whether such causes can be effective for long or whether they carry within themselves the seeds of destruction."
E.F. SchumacherSmall Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

We are not far from the day when the homeless population of this country is going to boom to a point unimaginable.  Cars parked with people living inside.  Tent cities.  And with these conditions, hygienic issues will develop that are only heard of in the third world because the US is very quickly going to be a third world country.  Very soon, issues of gay marriage, abortion, global warming and thousands of other things will be mute.  Who wins what show on TV is meaningless when 100 million citizens don't have TVs any longer.  An elderly baby boom generation, broke because they had to spend their retirement savings in their 50's'; broke because the endless printing of dollars eventually catches up with us and become worthless pieces of paper.  The million dollar IRA will feed you for a month.

Economists themselves, like most specialists, normally suffer from a kind of metaphysical blindness, assuming that theirs is a science of absolute and invariable truths, without any presuppositions.
E.F. SchumacherSmall Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

And so we travel merrily along, people dropping off, dropping out, being kicked out while the corporation soars to new heights.  Mass production using slave labor to produce goods for the few.  Didn't we drop this system in the 1800's?

The conventional wisdom of what is now taught as economics bypasses the poor, the very people for whom development is really needed. The economics of giantism and automation is a leftover of nineteenth-century conditions and nineteenth-century thinking and it is totally incapable of solving any of the real problems of today. An entirely new system of thought is needed, a system based on attention to people, and not primarily attention to goods—(the goods will look after themselves!). It could be summed up in the phrase, "production by the masses, rather than mass production."
E.F. SchumacherSmall Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

Can we stop this tide?  Yes, but most won't make the effort until they are hit over the head, removed from the game, and then wonder what the hell happened.  Stay out of the big stores; stay out of the WalMart, Walgreens, and other giant conglomerates.  Shop at local smaller stores, look at every damn label and refuse to buy chinese - if you have to buy something only made in china, buy it secondhand, not new.  When in stores, look at those labels and ask the clerk, then the manager, if they have something like this made in america.  When they say no, say you are sorry, you really are looking for one made in America.  Ask at the pharmacy counter where the drug is made, ask everywhere.  Shrink it down now, buy local produce, buy local cheese, meat, etc.  Make some noise people!

The…crisis of which I have spoken will not go away if we simply carry on as before. It will become worse and end in disaster, until or unless we develop a new life-style which is compatible with the real needs of human nature, with the health of living nature around us, and with the resource endowment of the world.

…the present consumer society is like a drug addict who, no matter how miserable he may fell, finds it extremely difficult to get off the hook. The problem children of the world – from this point of view and in spite of many other considerations that could be adduced – are the rich societies and not the poor.

E.F. SchumacherSmall Is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered

Organize.  Get the churches to start thinking about these topics rather than church growth.  The time is coming those mega churches are going to be closing their doors because 90% of their congregation won't be able to contribute anymore, not working and all.  What value will the church have when there is no money for jumbotron screens and pizza parties?

The first priority of the church is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.  But do churches realize the significance of the Book of James?

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,  16 qand one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good* is that?  17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:18

So churches better start gearing up with supplies and volunteers to provide stews and soups for the poor, even if it will just be for their own congregation.

I hate being a downer, but life just is smashing me down right now.  Healthy male, 55, masters degree, BB in Six Sigma, and I can't even so much as get a phone interview before being rejected outright.  And I'm sure I am just one of tens of millions going through this these days.  Then you read articles about corporations laying off thousands each month while paying off congress to pass immigration legislation to bring in more foreign workers?

I'm sorry, I honestly am at the point where if I woke up tomorrow and found out we'd been EMP'd during the night, wiping out all the electricity, electronics, and everything else on the planet I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed.  Then we could start over, groaning our own foods, working the farms for our meals; it would be a hard life, but it would be a clean life.  And the executives of all those organizations?  They will all be eaten by the savage groups that form, the reavers, thus getting in the end what they created and deserved.
